Meeting the Challenges of Decontamination

You cannot smell or physically detect certain dangerous vapors at low concentrations.

iM Med + ChemDAQ® will help you maintain a safe, productive work environment by providing best-in class monitoring products for Peracetic Acid (PAA), Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2), and Ethylene Oxide (EtO).

Why should you monitor?

Environmental monitoring protects employees from the acute and chronic health affects of chemical gas exposure, by monitoring concentrations in real-time and providing alerts for proactive protection.

Exposure happens, even with the best safety practices in place. Continuous monitoring is the only way to ensure worker safety.

Compliance

Monitoring exposure to PAA in your endoscopy department is a JAG/IHEEM annual audit requirement.

Monitoring H202, such as from low temperature sterilisers, is a part of COSHH risk management.

The ChemDAQ Steri-Trac 2 monitoring system is designed for continuous monitoring, consisting of a monitor (ST2 or ST2+) attached to a gas sensor (the E-Cell).

  • On Screen display of ppm of readings on Monitor – Real-time and Time-Weighted Averages (automatically calculated and customisable).
  • Visual and audible alarms (low/high level instantaneous and TWA alarms, with default levels but also customisable).
  • ST2+ monitor is equipped with onboard memory for internal data logging, downloadable via standard USB port.
  • Available with wall-mount or stand.
  • Flexible connection and positioning of E-cell sensor for low, medium and high height monitoring (as per JAG/IHEEM), spot checks and more direct spillage (incident) monitoring.
  • Internal alarm test for quick function check.
  • Two mechanical relays available for interfacing with external devices.
  • Calibration managed via the SXP, Sensor Exchange Program, with calibrated sensors sent to site, with no need to send monitor away for calibration, or complicated on-site gas calibration.

iM White Glove Service

The ChemDAQ monitor units utilise a calibrated sensor which must be replaced every 4 months, with a contractual requirement to return the expired sensor.

iM Med’s ‘White Glove Service’ removes all responsibility of returning the sensor, and correct connection of the calibrated sensor is removed from the department for full

trouble-free peace of mind.

Trained iM Med personnel will attend site to replace the sensor every 4 months and whilst onsite they will conduct service checks and tests, and organise return of the

expired sensor. The department manager will then be issued with a signed test report and the calibration certificate for the sensor.
